You guys are so great! Thank you so much for all the birthday well-wishes and things on my page yesterday! I had a really great time hanging out with family and stuffing myself stupid with ice cream.
And now for something not quite as cheerful:
If you run your own group (either as a founder, co-founder or admin) please make sure your group isn't set to allow members to join as co-founders or admins. Also make sure members don't have the ability to promote themselves. If you don't have the power to change that please make sure you alert the group's founder so that they can change it themselves. It's unfortunate, but not every deviant out there means well. If a jerk sees that they can join your group with instant administrative/co-founder privileges, it's likely they'll use their powers for evil. So protect yourselves and your group and be aware of its settings.
If this does happen it is NOT "hacking". No password is involved. No "hacking" has taken place. Alert the founder so that they can lock down the group and feel free to report those you suspect if you feel it's necessary. Please bear in mind that we aren't going to automatically ban someone for doing something they had the option of doing. If the offenses are severe enough we can possibly take further action.
Denying membership to people, choosing to allow only the artwork they like and alike issues are not bad enough for further action.
Posting porn .gifs all over the group's main page is.
I realize this is frustrating, but the fault is not solely on those causing the issues. Be proactive and make sure your group is protected to ensure this doesn't happen in the first place.
