Wooo, nine Photoshop layers and 34 hours later... this is probably the best digitally colored piece i've ever done. I don't say that to be fatheaded but I certainly won't say that i'm not proud of what i've accomplished tonight!
 Two days ago I finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for the second time. I just don't know what to do with myself. I've read the first three books multiple times and I finished the entire series in just a couple days shy of a month. Now, having read them all more than once, i'm stuck twiddling my thumbs and wondering what's goin to happen until July 16th! Yes, guys... if it isn't obvious already, i'm a huge Potter nerd and it's killing me to wait that long for the next one's release. So I settled down to work on this. I'm sure there are plenty of things to pick apart and properly critique but right now i'm tired of staring at it. So i'll leave the picking up to you guys.  This is supposed to be just before Harry, wrapped up in trying to catch the Snitch, is chased down by a bunch of Dementors... just before he faints and his Nimbus2000 blown into the Whomping Willow (The Prizoner of Azkaban). Poor broom. I had a lot of fun with this and hopefully that shows. If you have any crits or suggests, please lemme have it! And as always thank you for giving it a look. Harry Potter © J.K. great brush work with really awesome tones and shaddings. you have put a great amount of detail into this work and it really shows out how much u are passionate about the story. keep up the great work man! -- j d09  This is awesome! f course, the fact that I'm a huge HP fan, too, prolly doesn't help either.
 I really like the texturing done with it. I could make one suggestion with it, though - The Snitch is probably supposed to be the focal point of the piece.. I know what it's like to wheedle away hours upon hours in Photoshop.. I've been working with this new piece for 20+ hours so far. (Check back with me in two weeks or so and it should be up. e.e) The most I've learned with my time, however, is the Color Dodge option in the Airbrush in Photoshop does wonders with anything, but it's especially good at making things look shiney. I'd suggest removing most of the pencil(?) lines through the Snitch and playing around with Color Dodge to make it look more smooth and real. It would be a wonderful contrast to the otherwise gloomy/intense appearance of the rest of the piece. At any rate, this is wonderful! I can see you've spent a lot of time on it. I keep getting drawn back to Harry's hair. xD Seksi. Keep it up, man! And we shall all be waiting until July 16th.. >.> -- Carpe Jugulum: Go for the throat. The folds and the creases on his clothing are amazing, and the reflection across the goggles is nicely done, too. The snitch looks a little grainy to be gold - a Brass Snitch, maybe - but that doesn't take away from the rest of the piece.
