Same pic of darling Gerry Butler as before, only digitally colored this time. My friend, *docwholigan demanded that I put it online after I sent it to him through AIM. Who am I to argue?
I'm rather happy with how this turned out. I know the full view is enormous. I had to re-save the image as a PNG rather than a JPG because the compression was terrible to begin with... and I wasn't about to scan it all in and move around his nose again. So this will have to do. This was good practice. I don't know how to do skintones yet... so this was a huge step for me. That and I certainly don't mind workin on Gerard Butler again. Mmmmmerrrow. Alrighty, guys. I think this, besides my "Fun at the Movies" piece i've got planned, will be the last of the Phantom-ish art for a while. I have other things i'm supposed to be workin on. Hope you like it! And if you got any crits please lemme have them! Oh... reference was used. I found an image of him at [link] and flipped it, drew it with pencils and slapped some color on it with Photoshop. Comments
For not knowing how to do skin colors, you certainly did a great job...could have fooled me if you hadn't of said anything. Very nice colors...very rich. Great job as always!
-- "Every artist was first an amateur." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." ~Pablo Picasso zomg this is...is...amazing O _ O <3 The colouring is simply wow :3 The skintones are incredbly done (great for a real first try!) But what I really lvoe here, is the facial hair! Great job on it
-- ~goodeyesniper-x - Forever [[Love is Genderless]] Jenn, this is PHENOMINAL work! Every bit as good as the graphite, if not, better!
-- Triumph and Tribulation contest here! Cur poenam cordi parvo damus? Animam sacrificare necesse est? Oooooh, much better coloured! Actually, I dont know. I loved the previous one for your line work too (as ever!). But something about coloured works. It may of been quicker to do, but it still seems like you spent more time on it in a way? Its strange...
The only let down compared with the line art you do, is some of the hair is a bit blurry. Maybe a bit of the ol' tedious scraping away on your computer could help? Dunno. Its the only comparitive thing. I love it otherwise! The bit of background works really well. Great colours -- Site: 2D Forever |
