Took me long enough! Poor dragon gal and her little buddy have been sitting unfinished on my computer for months now. It was slow going on a mouse for a while but once I got the hang of coloring with my tablet the whole process seemed to pick up speed. I think I was trying for two different lightsources. Not sure what it is I came up with. Right or not I'm pretty happy with the final piece.

*m-u-d-c-a-t, who has been doin awesome cel shade work, tossed some suggestions and tips at me about it. I STILL would've been sitting here scratching my head and wondering what I could do to make this somehow easier without them. Thank you, Garry!
The background was inspired by =alexds1's gorgeous piece End of Summer and `cheeks-74's lineless backgrounds. I wanted something simple and autumny and that chaos is what I came up with.

Lots of things to pick at and crit, I'm sure! So haveatchoo!

Looks really good.

One thing this could really use is a few sharp highlights, especially on the hair closest to where your light source is, and maybe another on the back of the dragon's neck. I almost wish you had used a more neutral green for the dragon, letting the values create separation rather than the chroma (hue) difference.

Also be careful with shadow values. The parts of the hair that are lit are actually darker in value than the shadows of the white cloth.

All of that said, I can see you're definitely improving. I love your choices of colours for this one; they just fit so well with the line work. Sorry for blabbing on and on. I hope my comments were helpful.

I really like the detail you gave the scales on the dragon and the lineless background really set's the characters apart in the image.
Very nice work. I love the way you made the little dragon's wings see through. :)

When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one
individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is an idiot.
I love the sharp contrast between her claret hair and the lime-greenness of the dragon--and the subtler green tone to her skin is a nice touch. :3 It doesn't act like a lurid opposite, like the dragon does. And I like her expression and the movement in this piece.
I'd crit, but I don't see that many flaws, personally. It's gorgeous.
